The Charleston Peninsula
is home to some of
the absolute best cuisine in the South. Being on a peninsula
means space is limited by our being surrounded by water.
This creates a higher value on real estate and profitable
businesses. As a result of this unique setting coupled
with Charleston's historical downtown we are blessed with
an unusually high number of successful, quality and exciting
restaurants. If one shuts down another will pop up and
the survival of the fittest is in full effect here. Being
a slightly European style city Charleston tends to encourage
an Olde World feeling of wanting to stroll around lazily
taking in the sites...and the smells. Be prepared when
you visit this city's many culinary delights as some places
are known only to locals and others are known only by
locals to be less than par. High advertising budgets can
mislead folks into a tourist trap, yet taking the time
to simply ask a local or use this website can make you
see (and smell) Charleston in a whole new light.
